Gerarda Cabral de Carlos

Gerarda “Lala” Cabral de Carlos, age 68, of Carpentersville passed away in the comfort of her home on November 27, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Mexico, the daughter of Heliodoro and Clemencia (Gamboa) Cabral.  Gerarda touched many lives throughout the years and regarded close friends as family.  Gerarda was always very giving and demonstrated great compassion for those in need.  

She is survived  by her husband, Hipolito F. Carlos Sr.; her children, Raquel (Rodrigo) Esparza, Angelica Carlos, Norma Carlos and Hipolito Carlos Jr.; her grandchildren, Jessica (Fernando Lemus) Esparza, Rodrigo Jr., Elizabeth, Eduardo, Felipe Jr., Julian, Daniel, Ariana, Galdino Jr., Elisa, Antonio and Gabriela; her great-grandchildren, Carlos and Adelyn; her siblings, Justino (Eva) Cabral, Esperanza Flores, Miguel (Adriana) Cabral, Jose Luis Cabral and Leon (Thelma) Cabral; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Predeceased: parents Heliodoro, Clemencia and sister Olga Muñoz.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

***In keeping with compliance with the current CDC recommendations regarding gathering size, Please be aware that only 50 people will be allowed in the visitation room at a time. All visitors must keep a safe distance of 6 feet, and refrain from hugging or consoling the family. Upon entering the building all attendees must always wear a face covering and limit the time within the chapel.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 with prayers to begin at 12 noon from the funeral Home chapel and proceed to St. Monica Catholic Church in Carpentersville for a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow at the Dundee Twp. East Cemetery in East Dundee.
