Geraldine “Jerry” Hess (Crowley) age 89, a resident of the Clarendale of Algonquin and formerly of Chicago passed away on October 25, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 10, 1934 the loving daughter of James and Josephine (Manfrin) Crowley.
She was an avid Barbie Lover and Collector. As of last count she had collected over 5000 Barbie Dolls in her lifetime. Also creating many items and dolls, furniture, doll houses and many designs of crafting paper dolls in the Barbie World and more. She also found secret treasures in her collecting of antiques and other unique finds on her many road trips of exploring. She loved to Sing and Dance, Enjoyed being in the Spotlight, reminding Us That When You Have A Chance To Sit it out Or Dance, “Just Dance”.
She is survived by her loving children, Mike (Colleen) Kuhns, Rae (Terrence) Cassin, Susan (Rick) Lance and Deanna Holzinger; her loving grandchildren, Magen, Christopher (Katie), Scott, Emma, Shane (Lindsey), Samantha (Isaac), Jake, Brett (Melissa) Aubri (Sean), Tatum (Tim), Hillary (Nate), Jessica, Kevin (LeAnne), Alexis (Tim) and Sedona; her great-grandchildren, Michaela, Sarah, Nicholas, Emily, Owen, Shane, Collin, Rhyder, Raegan, Emerie, Liam, Quinn, Avery, Evan, Kaden, Sam, Maelyn, Timmy, Lyla, Prestin (Zoe), Sybastian, Chrystian, Cadence, Kailen, Temperance, Jameson, Novella, Harley, LilLeanne; her great-Great-grandson, Tanner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM along a prayer service to begin at 1:00 PM that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Entombment will follow at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, Illinois.
