George B. Craig age 84, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois for 36 years, passed away in Huntley, Illinois on December 7, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 30, 1937 to Clarence and Dorothy Craig.
He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army and a member of the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Donna Ann (Smith) Craig whom he married on April 16, 1960; his loving children, Sheryl (Jerome) Eckleberry, Darrel (Debbi) Craig and Jeff (Debbie) Craig; his cherished grandchildren, Whitney (MSgt. Nick USAF) Winters, Christine (Bobby) Grise, Cassandra Craig (Fiancée Ryan Sanders), Ryan Craig, Austin Craig, (Clarie Carr), Tyler Craig (Fiancée Brittany McCue), Sydney Varshawsky, Ryan Varshawsky and Jackson Varshawsky; his proud great-grandchildren, Vivian, Scarlett, Ethan, Claire, and Cohen; his brother, Bill (Judy) Craig of Green Valley, AZ.
Per George's request he will be cremated privately.
Family & friends will gather to Celebrate the Wonderful Life of George on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM along with Military Honors to begin at 2:30 PM all at the Lake in the Hills American Legion, 1101 W.
