Frederick C. Mueller

Frederick Carl Mueller age 77, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on August 26, 2020. He is survived by his former spouse, Diana Lynn Mueller, sons Kirk, Keith and Philip Mueller, sister Claire Dichtel,  niece Cindy Dichtel and grandson Colin Patrick Mueller.
 

Fred will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man & sometimes as a man of few words.  He loved his entire family and always pushed for trips to Lincoln Park Zoo, Great America and many years at the Wisconsin Dells.  Later in life he enjoyed a cruise with Carol Miller which included the Greek Isles, Turkey and Cairo.
 

He enjoyed the countless memories spent with Ernest Dichtel, Claire and Cindy in both Elk Grove and Niles.
 

His taste for Giordano's Pizza is well-known, as were his love for his cars (Mercury, Cadillac, Camaro and Malibu), trains,the weather ( I thought he should've been a weatherman), books and attending church.
 

Spring-time was his favorite to drive to St Louis and visit his son Philip and good friend Conrad and the Reeders.
 

In respects to sports, the 'ol guy liked to cause some trouble. Knowing I loved the Cubs and Bears, I think on purpose he was always a Cardinals and Packers fan.  He loved the Sox and Browns as well.  
 

We were fortunate to have Carol Miller fly Fred down to Tampa to spend time and especially watch the Cubs together when they won the Series while having his grandson Colin on the phone for the final out!
 

"he's not heavy he's your brother", "ya, we'll see" and "I Love You" will always be remembered.
 

We learned how to be a devoted family man, strong work ethic and a dependable friend.
Even though my parents divorced after 49 years of marriage, they found themselves together at the end and shared a strong love.
 

Everyone has a funny "Fred" or "dad" memory over the years which will bring laughter.
He lived to see his son walk down the isle and spent time with his wonderful grandson (short-stack).
 

He will live-on in our hearts and memories and is smiling down free of pain and stress.
Dad, we'll always love and miss you!
