Eugene N. Rachman

Eugene N. Rachman age 91, of Algonquin, Illinois formerly of Mt. Prospect, Illinois passed away at the Bickford Senior Living in Crystal Lake, Illinois on August 20, 2024. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 1933 the son of Frank and June (Krupa) Rachman.

He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War Era.  Gene started out working in the banking field and then moved on to become a successful Independent Contractor and later Real Estate Broker.  He enjoyed endless road trips, especially frequent visits to Disney World and also celebrating the holidays with his family.  Gene was an all-around Chicago sports fan attending numerous sporting events throughout the years. He adored his wife, kids, grandkids, and dog Yanni.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy J. (Spilla) Rachman; his loving children, Randal Rachman, Susan (John) Costello, Jeffrey Rachman and Amy (Scott) Alm; his cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Sundquist, Trevor Sundquist, Corey Alm, Lindsey Alm and Megan Alm; he was an uncle to many.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sister, Arlene (the late Fred) Wenzel.

Family & friends will gather for a memorial visitation on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with a 7:00 PM prayer service all at Willow Funeral Home & Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
