Ernesto “Ernie” Domingo, age 64, of Cary, Illinois passed away at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois on March 8, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 12, 1957, the son of Alberto and Engracia Domingo.
Ernie, a loving husband, and father, is survived by his beloved wife, Agnes Eleosida Domingo; his daughter, Mary Catherine Domingo, his brothers, Arnulfo (Laura) Rimando and Dennis (Maya) Domingo, his sisters Belen (Jim) Zangrilli and Celia Rimando Guieb. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by sister Alma (Eduardo) Suacillo and his parents.
Ernie was an avid fan of DC and Marvel comic books and movies, Star Wars, and Star Trek. He loved collecting movies and vinyl records. He enjoyed playing golf and hosting parties for his family and friends in his home. He was an active member of the Fox Valley Filipino-American Catholic Ministry and the Ilocanos of the Midwest. His family, friends, and contemporaries remembered Ernie as a humble, reliable, compassionate person and a jokester.
Visitation for Ernesto will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 with prayers to begin at 9:15 AM from the funeral home chapel and proceed to Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Cary for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, IL.
