Elsworth Minor Hansen Jr.

Elsworth Minor Hansen Jr. age 81, of Crystal Lake, Illinois and formerly of Hanover Park, Illinois passed away on May 6, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 14, 1943 the son of Elsworth Minor Hansen Sr. and Johanna (Uhl) Hansen.

He worked for Foote Jones Illinois Gear in Chicago as a machinist for 40 years before retiring. He looked forward to and enjoyed meeting up with his childhood friends for breakfast several times during the year and loved fishing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 1/2 years, Luz Esther (Ocasio) Hansen; his loving children, Elsworth Minor III (Melissa) Hansen, Sonja (Phillip) Demkowicz and Erik Hansen; his proud grandchildren, Thorsten Hansen, Bjorn Hansen, Gunther Hansen, Anthony Barbaro, Michael Barbaro, Gavin Demkowicz, Aubry Demkowicz, Christopher Hansen, Ashley Hansen, and Alexis Hansen.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM along with a 3:00 PM prayer service that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
