Elizabeth A. “Liz” Seklecki (Fabbrini) age 62, of Algonquin, IL and formerly of Mt. Prospect, IL passed away on October 20, 2024 at Northwestern Medicine-Huntley Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born the loving daughter of Kenneth and Patricia (Dolan) Fabbrini on October 29, 1961 in Des Plaines, IL.
Though her time with us was tragically short, Liz left an enduring legacy. Her warmth, generosity, and caring spirit will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Liz had a deep appreciation for nature. She found great joy in tending to her garden, where she nurtured vibrant flowers and watched hummingbirds flit about. Liz also loved spending time outdoors with her loved ones, whether it was fishing at her favorite spot or simply enjoying the beauty of waterfalls. Her adventurous spirit led her on many travels and vacations, where she created lasting memories.
While Liz achieved many things in her life, her greatest accomplishment was raising her two daughters. Watching them grow into the wonderful women they are today filled her with immense pride and joy.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Seklecki; her daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Ferrante and Amy (Adam) Lewandowski; her siblings, Michael Fabbrini, Ellen (Steve) Chromik, Kenneth Fabbrini and Daniel (Christine) Fabbrini; her mother-in-law, Maryann Collins; her brother and sisters-in law, Phil (Maria) Collins, Maryann Seklecki and Laurine (Dan) Grigoletti; her nieces & nephews.
A "Celebration of Life" visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM along with Words of Remembrances to be shared at 7:00 PM that evening all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W.
