Edwin Lesniak

Edwin Lesniak, 84, of Huntley passed away peacefully July 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born August 14, 1941 in Chicago.  Edwin was the beloved Uncle of nine nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews and 10 great great nieces and nephews.  he also leaves behind his Caring sister Mary Ann Smorynski and is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Agnes and sister Carol Zych. 
Edwin was born in Chicago and moved to Sun City in Huntley 26 years ago.  he was a devoted Catholic and a member of Saint Mary’s church in Huntley.  he was a proud member of the third order of Saint Francis (Secular Franciscan).

Ed loved all of his dogs over the years and for the last eight years he cared for his beloved Bella.  he worked as a manager at Colbert packaging in Chicago for over 40 Years, one of his coworkers recently shared that Ed always made sure products were shipped correctly and was very well liked by all.

A visitation for Edwin will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 4 to 9 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., Algonquin, IL 60102. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10 AM at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Huntley. Friends and family are welcome to the church at 9 AM for an hour of visitation prior to the funeral mass.
