Edward V. Domain, Jr. Obituary

 

Edward V. Domain, Jr. age 71, of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away on May 7, 2022. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 18, 1950 to Edward V. Sr. and Rosemary (Kunes) Domain.

He was a retired Pressroom general manager for the Daily Herald Newspaper, where he met his beloved wife, and also was an assistant store manager for Home Depot. Ed retired in 2018 to spend time with his family.

Ed was a beloved family man who put others first and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. His warm heart and personality left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Ed was known for his humor and laughter, all who knew him can tell a story of a time spent with him.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sharon R. (Nestmann) Domain; his children, Ashley (Jon) Lucas, Christopher Domain, Patricia Domain and Edward Domain III; his grandchildren, Katie Lucas, Barrett Lucas, and Tyler Bryant; his sisters, Mary Domain and Gayle Schock; his mother-in-law, Florence Nestmann.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Randy Schock.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. along with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening all at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one half mile east of Randall Rd.), Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

A private interment will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, IL.
