Douglas Szarzynski

Douglas Michael Szarzynski age 48, of Shorewood, Illinois passed away on February 27, 2020

Douglas was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 26, 1971 to Thomas and Patricia Szarzynski.  He grew up in Naugatuck, Connecticut and Palatine, Illinois.  He was a resident of Shorewood, Illinois. At the time of his death Doug worked for AIM Integrated Logistics, Inc.. where he enjoyed his job as a spotter

Doug had a zest for life and a larger than life personality.  He loved to laugh and make people smile.  He had such a passion for animals especially his beloved Tahoe and his new puppy Sasha.  Sasha was a ray of sunshine and an unexpected gift. 

His other passion in life was The Dave Matthews Band (DMB).  Dougie just loved this band and their music.  When DMB was anywhere in the Midwest, that’s where you could find him.  He had such an amazing DMB family and always looked forward to the next DMB gathering.  On any given day you could find Dougie listening to DMB music or watching the music videos.  He loved grilling and hanging out with his best buddy Chris.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.  He leaves behind his beautiful puppy Sasha.  Along with his puppy he leaves behind his sisters Tara (Jack), Bonnie (Jim) and his brothers Tom (Anita), Bill (Deb), Mark (Deb), Paul (Monette), Jim (Marion) and David (Christine).  Douglas will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life gathering for Douglas is being held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a Time of Remembrance to begin at 1:00 PM that afternoon at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
