Donald R. Peters

Donald  R. Peters age 68, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away May 21, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 4, 1957 the son of Raymond and Acacia (Storms) Peters.

He and his wife, Hannah, were the owners of Algonquin Accounting Service, Inc. for 36 years and the owner of Short Stacks for 17 years.  He was the Treasurer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin, and a devoted member.  His faith meant a great deal to him. He had such a zest for life and loved his dog, Daisy. He was a wonderful and loving husband and father, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Hannah Peters; his children, Alex Peters, Amanda Peters and Luke (Megan) Peters; his siblings, Ray (Emy) Peters and Melissa (Kim) Breed. He was preceded in death by his parents.
 

Family & friends will gather for a visitation on Saturday, May 24, 2025 beginning at 9:30 a.m. directly at St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Jefferson St., Algonquin. A funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
