Donald Vernon Lev

Donald Vernon Lev, age 65, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away at home on November 23, 2022. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois on March 19, 1957 to Vernon and Joyce (Odeen) Lev.

He graduated from Proviso West High School Class of 1975 and received his Associate of Science degree in architecture from Triton College in 1977. He was employed with Clow Corporation where he met his wife, Patti; Mosler Safe Company; and First National Bank of Chicago transitioning through all of the mergers and acquisitions with retirement from Chase Bank on November 8, 2022, after 37 years of dedicated service.

He enjoyed supporting his daughters through sports, dance and activities; spending time with family, especially his grandkids; traveling, dancing and eating Patti’s home-cooked meals. Don was a handyman, always helping others and completing many of his own home projects. He participated in numerous Lake in the Hills community programs, the most memorable and favorite being the Ford School House restoration. Don was a very safety minded, generous and considerate person; always willing to share his opinion and give level headed advice when needed. His “dad jokes” will certainly be missed.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Gonzalez) Lev; his loving daughters, Jackie (Jon) Knox and Christina (Rick) St. Joseph; his proud grandchildren, Brennen, Emma and Sophie Knox and Carter and Graham St. Joseph; his siblings, Lynn (Jeff) Ostapczuk, Dean (Rosemarie) Lev and Dale (Lisa) Lev; also survived by many in-laws, aunt, uncle, nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his in-laws, Reynold and Alicia Gonzalez; his brother-in-law, Rey Gonzalez; his sister-in-law, Rebeca Graham; and many other beloved family members.

A memorial visitation for Donald will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM  along with a Time of Sharing at 4:00 PM that afternoon all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
