Donald C. “Don” Dugger age 74, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on April 23, 2022. He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 10, 1947 to parents, Richard and Eleanor Dugger.
Don is survived by his wife, Carol Dugger; his children, Donald (Tatia) Dugger, Tracy (James) Stover, Laura Dugger and Nicole (Matthew) Mantel; his step-children, Tiffany (Mark ) Garcia, Eric (Antigona) Hafferkamp and Brett (Kendall Gilles) Hafferkamp; his grandchildren, Jacob (Haley), Zachary, Liam, Grace, Nathaniel, Alec, Chase, Lukas, Hanah and Regan; his great-grandchildren, Wynter and Eden.
Don was a devoted father and grandfather. His family was his primary focus and came second only to his deep devotion to his faith and followed closely by his love for his friends.
Don had a compassionate heart and felt deeply the need to help those in need. Those who were close to him knew that he would help virtually anyone who needed his help. Don has volunteered for many years as a FISH driver and delivering meals to the elderly with the Meals With Wheels organization in Barrington. Don has also volunteered for many years at the Carpentersville Fish Food Bank.
Don was a director at McMaster-Carr, working for the company for 38 years and developing friendships that last even after 17 years of retirement. Don loved the time spent with his family, to travel with his close friends and fishing and hunting with his buddies.
Family & friends will gather on Saturday, May 28, 2022 for an 11:00 AM Memorial Service at Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 1700 Longmeadow Pkwy., Algonquin.
In lieu of flowers, remember Don by a memorial contribution to the Fish Food Pantry in Carpentersville Illinois.
