Dennis A. James

Dennis A. James age 74, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on July 27, 2023 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, Illinois with his loving family at his side. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 23, 1948 the son of Kenneth and Helen (Clausen) James.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet (Quigley) James; his loving children, Matt (Crystal) James, Rachel (Jason) Hainaut and Mike James; his grandchildren, Declan and Claire; his sister, Karen James; his sisters-in-law, Helen James and Barbara James; also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob James, Phil James and Tom James.

Denny will likely be continuing the life he had here on earth, doing daily crosswords, watching The Price is Right, catching the Chicago sports game, and throwing back a few cold ones. Denny survived 6 years with COPD and stopped fighting the endless battle. No longer restricted by his oxygen tank and hearing aids he’s found himself truly representing his favorite thing, “Free”.

A "Celebration of Life" gathering for Denny will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
