David Ortiz

David Ortiz age 61, of Elgin, passed away at JourneyCare Barrington on March 14, 2022 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico on November 8, 1960 to David Ortiz Moreno and Ana Marie Martinez Arguello.

David was a dedicated employee with Lincoln Elementary School in Hoffman Estates. 

He is survived by his loving family members, sisters, Angelica Gaona (Raul Avila) and Floreida Cruz Martinez; his father, Geronimo Gaona; his nephews, Alan Raul Avila Gaona, Brian Avila Gaona and Dylan Avila and his cousin, Amada Bringas.

Visitation for David will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 with prayers to begin at 11:30 AM from the funeral home chapel and proceed to Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Cary for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow to Windridge Memorial Park & Nature Sanctuary in Cary.
