Darlene Ann Ringa (Tencza) age 80, of Algonquin, Illinois formerly of Cary, Illinois passed away on November 24, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 21, 1943 the loving daughter of Edward and Genevieve (Swiatek) Tencza.
Darlene was fiercely in love with her family and loved every minute watching her grandkids on the ice rinks, baseball fields, cheerleading sidelines and dance recitals. Her grandchildren were her greatest loves and she was their greatest supporter. She especially adored her two great-granddaughters who brought her so much joy! Family meant everything to Darlene and she was adored not only by her family, but so many others.
Darlene was the dearly beloved wife of the late Howard W. Ringa; the loving mother of the late Scott H. (Jan) Ringa, Dawn (Frank) Franco and Todd (Laura) Ringa; the cherished grandmother of Lindsay (Jared) Brady, Sean Ringa, Brandon (Audrey) Franco, Cassidy (Colby) Roark, Ryan Ringa and Tyler Ringa; the proud great-grandmother of Vivienne and Genevieve Brady; the dear sister of Karen (the late Ron) Hejza and Lynda Tencza; a fond aunt of many.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
Second visitation will continue on Friday, December 1, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM directly at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 S. McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, followed with a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at 11:00 AM.
