Dale G. Tazbier Sr. Obituary

Dale G. Tazbier Sr. of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital on Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 20, 1947 the son of Joseph and Adeline (Kaminski) Tazbier.

He was a U.S Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War during 1968. When they were moved to Quang Tri, he was assigned to the 534th Transportation Company (Medium Truck). He was a Private First Class when he went over to Vietnam, and was promoted to Spec 4 and finally Spec 5.

Dale was a mechanic at Ford for over 40 years before retiring. In his spare time, you could find him in his garden, in his well groomed yard full of beautiful flowers, in his garage building or fixing things, or relaxing on the couch downstairs watching This Old House. In recent years, Dale enjoyed visiting the local library, where he would check out a variety of movies.

One of his most proud moments came in 2015, when his first grandson, Gavin was born. In 2016, his second grandson Cooper was born. He adored Gavin and Cooper and loved to hear them call him “Papa T”.
