Constance D. “Connie” Plunkett (Andelbrat) age 91, formerly of Rolling Meadows and Palatine, Illinois passed away on July 20, 2024 surrounded by her 4 surviving children. She was born in Berwyn, Illinois on May 18, 1933, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Pawlowski) Andelbrat.
Connie’s greatest accomplishment in her life was raising her 6 children. Her family and her faith are what mattered most to her. She met her husband Frank at the young age of 15 and the minute she saw him, she said " I'm going to marry him someday " 4 years later, she did! She was a member of St. Colette Catholic Church in Rolling Meadows for more than 60 years and never missed Sunday/Saturday night Mass. In her younger years, she loved to bowl on a couple's league with her husband at Rolling Meadow Bowling alley. She also liked to take cruises and our annual family vacation to Lauderdale Lakes in Wisconsin. After all of her children were in school, she worked at a factory that made plastic bags. In her later years, she worked for her late daughter Linda’s business at the Palatine Home Depot selling Hot Dogs as people exited the store. She spent the last 3 years of her life in an assisted living where she developed a great circle of friends, and was very involved in various activities, especially craft time. Her apartment was filled with all of her creations.
Connie left us all with great memories, traditions and so much love. She will be missed dearly.
Connie is survived by 4 of her 6 children, beloved Laura (Jay) Landise, Mary Ann (Mike) Weber, Julie Hendry and Andrew Plunkett; her dear daughter-in-law Sue Plunkett and her cherished grandchildren, Lindsey (Roel) Aganon, Kristie (fiancé Mike Bavaro) Weber, Allison (Zach) Kirkham, Max Weber, Erica (Eric) Campbell, Nicole (Tyler) Mabry, Blake Hendry, Taylor (fiancé Mike Krawczyk) Hendry, Trevor Plunkett, Brooke Plunkett and Britt Plunkett; also survived by her nieces and nephews and her many dearly loved “grand and great grand pets”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Francis “Frank” Plunkett Jr.; her loving daughter, Linda Plunkett, her loving son, Frank Plunkett III and her dear son-in-law, Bob (Julie) Hendry. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jacqueline Zeller and Frederick (Kathy) Andelbrat.
