Christian Wenckus

It is with great sadness, the family of Christian Wenckus announce his sudden passing on Thursday, August 27th at the age of 40.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his 3  children, Bella, Kristian, & Jayden; His Mother, Carol Linkletter, Father Joseph P. (Janice) Wenckus; Siblings Tim (Rebecca) Wenckus, Janet Sanchez, Mark (Sue) Linkletter, & Amy (Frank) Lovely; Nieces & Nephews, Dito (Stephanie), Lily, Julia, Jane, Josie, Ryan, & Kate; along with numerous other family members & dear friends. 

Chris was so proud of his children, & loved being a Dad. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his kids. With his big friendly smile, & the most beautiful blue eyes, Chris made friends with anyone who crossed his path. He was often the life of the party! He was blessed with the most wonderful circle of supportive & loving friends. In his free time, he could be found playing golf with his buddies. He was also a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, & lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. 

For almost 20 years he worked for UPS delivering packages, & made many friends along his daily route.

He has been welcomed into heaven by Robert Linkletter, loving step father, & grandparents, Richard & Katherine Wysock, Joseph Wenckus, & Magdalene Mankus; Uncle Dave & his Aunt Kathy; along with beloved pets Bo, Bambi, Jake, Ebby, Louie, Lolly, & Dooley.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 4th, 2020, at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin, IL, from 4-8pm. Masks & social distancing required.

Saturday, September 5th, 2020, there will be a short prayer service at Willow Funeral & Cremation Care at 9:45am followed by a procession to a 10:30am funeral Mass held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S. Hubbard St., Algonquin, IL. Masks & social distancing required.

Due to the unexpected passing of Chris, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses, & the children.
