Carol Altieri

Carol R. Altieri (Lane) age 77, of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away in Chicago, Illinois on October 30, 2023 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4, 1946 the daughter of William and Stephanie (White) Lane.

She worked in the accounting department at American Agricultural Insurance Co. with many years of dedicated service. Her Catholic faith was an integral part of her life. She really valued and was a proud founding member of her S.O.U.L. prayer group along with her relationship with her friends from this group for decades. She enjoyed helping others, she was a great cook, she really enjoyed nature and flowers and her coffee. Even as she was ailing, Carol took care of all her family whenever they needed her. Her granddaughter was an extremely important part of her life. She had retired from her job specifically to care for her when she was born and did so for several years.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William “Bill” Altieri; her loving daughter, Laura Markoya; her cherished granddaughter, Hannah Markoya; her sisters-in-law, Corrie (Jerry) Gorlewski and Kathleen (the late Dr. Robert) Patte; also survived by several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Eckberg and her brothers, William Lane, Richard Lane and Thomas Lane.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 with prayers to begin at 9:45 AM from the funeral home chapel and proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM.

Interment private.
