Betty Jane Imhoff (Tilche) of Algonquin, Illinois was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who passed away peacefully at 96 years and 364 1/2 days young, on March 4, 2023.
Betty leaves behind her devoted children, Don (Carol) Imhoff, Cindi Imhoff and Randy (Toni) Imhoff; her 6 Loving Grandchildren, Greg (Katie) Imhoff, Zach Imhoff, Amy (Joe) Fujino, Michael Imhoff, Lindsey (Mark) Hartwig, Lauren Spitznas; her 12 Great Grandchildren, Makena, Alyvia, Dean, Luke, Jake, Nattily, Laeden, Zoe, Klare, Emma, Kylie, Kinley, along with her several nieces & nephews.
Betty was born on March 5, 1926 in Ontarioville, IL and is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Herta (Plehs) Tilche, her husband, George; son Bradley;
granddaughter, Kari (Bob) Crewe and her great grandson, Zane Spitznas; her 3 sisters, Anna (Ted) Eichholz, Lisa (Ted) Masel, Edith (Elmer) Olson; her 2 nieces, Linda Eichholz, and Judy Masel.
Betty was a member of the Congregational Church of Algonquin, former member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and one of the founding members of the Founder’s Days festival. Betty was also an integral part of Imhoff Construction & Bradley Concrete. She enjoyed spending time with her family, along with bowling, golfing, playing cards & Domino’s. In her younger years she loved dancing and that’s how she met George, whom she married March 6, 1948. They had celebrated 67 years of marriage at the time of his death in 2015.
Betty will be remembered for her loving ways, friendliness, compassion, her great sense of humor, and her incredible quick wit. Betty will be truly missed by all that knew her & loved her.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of an 11:00 a.m. funeral service all at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Interment will be held at Algonquin Cemetery, in Algonquin IL, following service.
