Barbara "Babs" Becker

Barbara J. “Babs” Becker (nee Taylor) age 69, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away on March 15, 2024 at The Pearl of Crystal Lake. Loving wife of Bruce L. Becker; devoted mother of Ross Edelmann, Robin Edelmann, Kathryn (Kendall) Bradley, Bruce Jr. Becker (Maureen Terry) and Kerry Mullins; cherished grandmother of Connor Bradley, Collin Bradley, Melissa (Matthew) Todd, Nicole Becker, Marissa Herzog and Mya Herzog; proud great grandmother of Liam Todd and Bella Todd; beloved daughter of the late James Nolan (CPD Rtd.) and Dorothy Therese (nee Vail) Taylor; loving sister of the late Janis Taylor, Mary Margaret Taylor, Margaret (the late Ken) Grant, Deborah (CFD Rtd.) (Henry (CFD Rtd.) Rose, Kevin (CPD Rtd.) (Chris) Taylor, Kathy Taylor, Joanne (Dr. David) Gorecki, and Julie Taylor (Mike Stanley); dear aunt of 13 and great-aunt of 16. Barbara was a former employee of Follett School Solutions, LLC for 28 years. Barbara was a lifelong Chicago Blackhawks fan and enjoyed watching them play. She was Corey Crawford’s biggest fan and had the honor of meeting him several times. Barbara was very passionate about dogs and owned and rescued over ten dogs in her lifetime. In her free time, Barbara loved to craft and bake. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Family & friends will gather for a second visitation on Thursday, March 21, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM directly at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Rd., McHenry, followed by a Funeral Mass at be Celebrated at 12 Noon. Please join us to "Celebrate Barbara’s life". Interment private.
