Barbara Ann Lemke

Barbara Ann Lemke (Fox) age 90, of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away at the Clarendale of Algonquin on January 20, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 26, 1933 the daughter of John and Lois (Turkleson) Fox.

Throughout her career, Barbara served in Crystal Lake High school District #155 as a former librarian, then in secretarial positions in the Guidance office, Dean’s office, and Principals offices at Crystal Lake Central and Cary Grove respectively. 

Barbara got great joy from being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them whenever possible. Barb also loved to read and do crossword puzzles in her spare time. 

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Theresa) Lemke, Gerald (Kathleen) Lemke, Frank (Becky) Lemke and Judy (Si Villarreal) Swett; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas (Angela) Lemke, Kristine (Scott) Starwalt, Daniel (Carrie) Lemke, and Amy (Hansen) Voss; her proud great-grandchildren, Ava Lemke, Rebekah Starwalt, Timothy Starwalt, Evan Scholl, Madison Lemke, Jacob Lemke Samuel Voss and Daniel Voss; her dear brother, Jack (Carol) Fox.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lemke and her sister, Dona Hearne and her brother-in-law, William Hearne.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

Interment Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
