Arthur G. Meyer

Arthur G. Meyer age 78, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois passed away at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois on March 5, 2023 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Norwalk, Ohio on August 22, 1944 to parents John and Louise Meyer.

He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Viet Nam War era. He was also a member of the VFW in Norwalk, Ohio. Arthur was a lifelong Electrician and loved to fix just about anything that needed it. Arthur was an avid train collector, Nascar and Cubs fan and his love of putting a challenging puzzle together and making it a forever picture for the wall, his love of cooking and a good BBQ were all handed down to his children.  Arthur is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Mary E. (Hershiser) Meyer; his children, Wendy (Marty) Hammond, Jason (Trisch) Meyer and Aaron (Beth) Meyer; his cherished grandchildren, Paige(Brad) and Grace Hammond and Fiancé Weston Sterchi and Wynter (Olaf) Nilssen and his great-grandchildren Benjamin and Charlotte Nilssen, as their "Paw Paw" and also, a dear brother, John (Carolyn) Meyer; his nieces and nephews, Chris, Charlie and Craig Meyer.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM along with a Time of Sharing to begin at 5:00 PM that afternoon, followed with Military Honors all at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.
