Ann Adele Litza Obituary

Ann Adele Litza (Gillen) age 88, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and formerly of Northbrook, Illinois passed away on January 24, 2025 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 28, 1936 the loving daughter of Charles and Valerie (Trebat) Gillen.

Ann was an active member of the Illinois Turners-Northwest for over 36 years and part of their Ladies Auxiliary for even longer.  Ann was a former longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Glenview, Illinois and helped lead their Sharing Room with the assistance of Sister Paulanne.

She is survived by her loving children, Curtis J. (Barbara) Litza, Cory S. (Donna) Litza; her proud grandchildren, Matthew Litza, Daniel (Kelly) Litza, Samantha (Lucas) Pohlman and Sean (Emma) Litza; her cherished great-grandchildren, Elouise, Lily and Walter Pohlman; her dear brother, Roy Gillen; she is also survived by a niece and nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Julianne Litza and her beloved husband of 58 years, John A. Litza.

A memorial visitation for Ann will held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Family & friends will gather on Friday, February 14, 2025 beginning at 9:00 a.m. directly at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m.
