Amelia "Millie" Grace Rediehs Obituary

Amelia Grace “Millie” Rediehs, age 15, of West Dundee, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2024 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Joliet, Illinois on May 18, 2008.

She is survived by her mother, Carissa Belasich; her father, Justin Rediehs; her siblings, Aubrey, Colton and Ashlynn; her maternal grandmother, Mary (Mitchell) Turner; her paternal grandparents, Terry Beaver, Dianna Lynn (the late Tom) Kuttnauer, and Wayne Rediehs; and all her aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Belasich; her maternal great-grand mother, Mary Belasich; her great uncle, David Merritt; her paternal grandfather, Tom “Pops” Kuttnauer; and her paternal great-grandmother, Donna “Nonnie” Slager.

Millie touched the lives of so many and brought so much light into this world. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She loved to sing, dance, listen to music, play volleyball, cheer, draw, and do her hair, make-up and nails. She was incredibly talented at all of these things. She loved spending time with her friends and family. You all brought so much joy to her life. Millie received her diagnosis in December of 2022 and fought with all she had to the very end. Her feisty wit never wavered. Her strength and love of life will never be forgotten.

Millie has requested that everyone wear their Millie shirts or the color pink to her "Celebration of Life" visitation that will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills.

A second visitation will continue on Monday, January 15, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM until time of a 10:00 AM service at Willow Funeral Home in Algonquin.

Family & friends will gather that afternoon on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the cemetery entrance of Woodlawn Memorial Park II, 23060 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL for a 12:30 PM graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Chordoma Foundation to help them find a cure for this awful disease that so little is known about.
