Alice J. Nilsen

Alice J. Nilsen age 65, of Carpentersville, Illinois passed away on September 4, 2023. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 31, 1958 the beloved daughter of Arnold and Laila (Stromdahl) Nilsen. Alice enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and was well known for her carrot cakes. She was a huge fan of music from Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac to Alicia Keys and Adele. She loved nothing more than a good cup of coffee and a couple of scratch off tickets! She is survived by her loving children, Valerie Johanna Nilsen, Amanda Marie Nilsen, Joseph Luis Nilsen Sr. and Naomi Laila Thompson; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Luis Nilsen Jr., Alyanna Marie Martinez and Alexis J. Martinez; her siblings, Jan Nilsen, Arnold Nilsen, Linda Nilsen, Larry Nilsen, Paul Nilsen and Valerie (Jason) Nilsen; her sister-in-law, Norma Nilsen; also several nieces & nephews; In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving son, Thomas E. Harrington Jr., her siblings, Richard Nilsen and Laura Teegen and her brother-in-law, Barney Teegen. Visitation for Alice will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one half mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 9:00 AM until time of a 10:30 AM Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin. for additional service information please call (847) 458-1700.
