Adrienne Barbara Kosin (Miller) age 88, of Algonquin , IL (formerly of Hoffman Estates and Inverness) died on November 14th, 2022 from problems resulting from Charles Bonnet Syndrome. She was born in Chicago , IL on July 30, 1934,the daughter of Franklin and Wanda Marion (Tabaka) Miller. She was loved by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and more friends than most of us would think possible. In 1955, Adrienne became a Registered Professional Nurse after graduating from the Cook County School of Nursing. Later she returned to school at Elmhurst University receiving her Bachelors of Science Degree from their School of Nursing in 1981. Adrienne was proud to be a nurse and it showed in her dedication and commitment to her craft. She retired in 2001 after 46 years service. The majority of her career was spent at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove IL. Adrienne was a class act: she will forever be remembered for her kindness, grace, resilience and beauty. Traveling with family and friends was one of her passions. She spent time in England, France Germany, Turkey and Greece. At home, Adrienne must have visited more than 45 of the states. She enjoyed life. During her travels she skied big hills in Colorado, snowmobiled through Donner Pass, road a mule into the Grand Canyon, went whitewater rafting, rode horses in the Grand Tetons, hot air balloon rides, wave running on the St. Lawrence Seaway, small plane ride to see Mt. McKinley in Alaska and riding in a helicopter with no doors were some highlights in her life. Road trips held special meaning for her not only because of the sheer number she had been on but because of the number of family and friends who she went with, Spending time with family and friends made her happy. She loved each of us. Small gatherings with fun food, white wine, light music and a rousing game of bocce ball could make her day. Her children remember her love of musicals and the opera and everyone especially her grandchildren remember her breaking out in song when a word would spike a memory of a tune she knew. She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Kosin of Algonquin, IL and Charles X. (Sandra) Kosin of Villa Park, CA; her grandchildren Margo Godlove (John), Christopher and Alicia Kosin, as well as two great-grandsons, Jack and Max Godlove.
