Sheerie Ruzecki Obituary

Sheerie " Sarah " Ruzecki nee: Paul, passed away peacefully Monday February 5, 2018 after a two year hard fought battle against melanoma. Beloved daughter of David and Mary Paul, dear sister of Katherine ( Mark ) Segal, Sandy ( Brian) Forde. Fond aunt of T.C. and Brennan Paul, Peyton Forde. Many loving cousins, aunts and uncles across the country. Sheerie was an avid tennis player all of her life, and earned a tennis scholarship to attend Loras Collage. She played in, and often won, many tennis leagues with her sisters, and lately especially enjoyed playing tennis with her nephew. Sheerie was the uncontested family ping pong ace, and once almost defeated the Japanese Olympic Ping Pong Champion in a cruise round robin tournament. She was competitive, private, and care free, and enjoyed playing games of all types, particularly her daily lunchtime card game online with her mom. She enjoyed a more than twenty year career at the same company, and was especially fond of the friendships she forged there. She found the greatest joy spending time with her family and friends, attending Cubs opening day, and encouraging her dad to host spontaneous family barbeques. Sheerie was best known for her contagious laughter,  loyal and generous heart, an innate sense of fairness and justice,  and a feisty spirit. She was cared for and surrounded by her friends and family until she passed, is loved deeply and will be sorely missed by all.
