It is with great sadness that Robert “Bob” W. Schultz, age 77, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away on June 21, 2018 after fighting long-term illnesses. Bob was born November 1, 1940 in Chicago and youngest son to Fredrick and Ruby Schultz. Bob spent a good portion of his life serving his country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force and then serving his community as a volunteer Firefighter with the Oak Lawn fire department and Algonquin - Lake in the Hills Fire Protective District. Bob is lovingly survived by his children Robert (Denise), Anne (Ralph), Derek (Amber). His seven grandchildren, Samantha, Cassandra, Derek, Damien, Caitlin, Kyle, and Trevor will fondly remember him. A memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Life Celebration Remembrance Eulogy at 7:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile west of Route 31) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. A private inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
