Patricia Campos Duda, 61, of Lake in the Hills, IL., passed away comfortably in her home with loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Patricia was born on October 4, 1958 in Elgin, IL., the daughter of Tomas and Feliz Campos. Her childhood was spent in Bensenville, IL and she moved to Lake in the Hills when she married to start a family with her beloved husband, Rich Duda.
Patricia always had a passion for the medical profession which prompted her to continue her education at Elgin Community College and Harper College. As a result of her dedication, she received a degree in Surgical Technology. She pursued a medical career at Delnor Community Hospital working as an emergency room registrar as well as a surgical technician; a career that lasted 17 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rich Duda; her children Nicolet Duda, Melissa Duda and Andrea Campos; her mother Feliz Campos; her siblings Paula (David) Seydel, Tom (Fe) Campos, Terri Campos, Marina Day, Joe (Fawn) Campos, Rob (Lori) Campos and Christina Petrunic; her sister-in-law Kathy Campos; her sister-in-law Terri Duda Pacyk and her brother-in-law Lou Pacyk.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tomas Campos; her son Daniel Kulp; her brother Peter Campos and her brother-in-law Michael Petrunic.
To celebrate her life, a gathering will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2019 with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 P.M. that evening at Willow Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin, IL. 60102. Interment was held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Patricia’s name to The Multiple System Atrophy Coalition Research Fund (https://www.multiplesystematrophy.org/) or Transitions Hospice, 12040 Raymond Ct., Huntley, IL 60142.
