Maurice “Terrell” Ross age 52, of Carpentersville, Illinois passed away on September 16, 2019 at Northwestern-Medicine Hospital in Huntley, Illinois.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 15, 1967, the loving son of Hattie Mae Ross and Robert Sullivan.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Gwendolyn Drew, and nephew, Alvin Louis Turner Jr.
He was a 1985 graduate of Curie Metropolitan High School in Chicago, IL and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Communications at Lewis University.
Maurice’s loving memory is cherished by his family, Jennifer, sons Jacob and Avery as well as his siblings: Jacqueline, Sandra, Janice, Brenda, Sharon, Connie (Edward), Michelle, Vernard (Brenda), Kenneth (Laura), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Maurice enjoyed coaching youth basketball and helping young athletes to be successful in not just basketball but throughout their life. He was mentor and coach to many for more than 15 years.
His greatest love was his family and proudest title was Dad to his two sons that he loved with all his heart. He will remain in our hearts as we treasure our memories of him and how he loved to make us laugh and smile.
Family & friends will gather for a Memorial Service that will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Light of Christ Lutheran Church, 100 Hanson Road in Algonquin.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the District 300 Food Pantry or The Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township.
