Marie F. (Petersdorf) Millmaker

Marie F. Millmaker nee Petersdorf, 95, passed away January 24, 2018.  Born October 4, 1922 in Elgin IL to the late Adolph and Serena (nee Leetzow) Petersdorf.  Loving mother of Marvel Paar of Port Barrington, Marlene (Paul) Lehr of Cary, Tom (Donna) Morey of Yorkville, and Art Morey of Crystal Lake;  dear sister of Lois Caluzinski of Bensenville, Ruth Weed of Ocala, FL, and Carol (Ed) Bryant; fond grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to many special grandchildren, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husbands Robert H. Morey and James Millmaker, brothers Harold, Billy, Marvin, Robert Petersdorf, sisters Irene Selpien, Laura Miller, Serena Petersdorf, and Barbara Hayes.
Marie was a former member of the VFW, and worked 28 years at Chicago Rawhide in Elgin, she loved to crochet and sew.  She made many afghans and rugs in which she sold at craft fairs, earning her the nickname 'rug lady'.  
Visitation will be held Monday January 29, 2017 from 3-8pm at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W Algonquin Road, Algonquin IL 60102.  Funeral 10am Tuesday at funeral home.  Interment at River Valley Memorial Gardens.
