Julie M. (Klicker) O’Sullivan, born September 2, 1965, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 21, 2018 after a long and difficult battle with ovarian cancer. She leaves behind Mark, her husband of 29 years who patiently and lovingly cared for her through both rounds of the disease that finally claimed her life at 52.
In addition to Mark, Julie is survived by her parents Rheta and Karl Klicker of Glenview, Illinois, and three siblings, Lynn (Steve) Goldberg of Little Rock, Arkansas, Karyn Freeman of Algonquin, Illinois, and Bill (Jen) Klicker of Poplar Grove, Illinois and their respective families.
Julie was an awesome aunt and great-aunt to her nieces and nephews. She never missed acknowledging a birthday or Valentine, but the annual main event for her was most certainly Halloween, assembling her famous treat bags each year in celebration of her favorite holiday. Even the four legged trick or treaters were taken care of. She shared many happy times with her closest friend, Jacki.
As a daughter, sister, wife, and friend, Julie will sincerely be missed. Visitation will be Thursday, January 25th from 3 to 8 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., Algonquin Illinois with a brief service there at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
Instead of flowers, and with respect for her love for four-legged furry friends, please honor Julie by making a donation in her name to Orphans of the Storm at orphansofthestorm.org or any other no-kill animal shelter.
