John Paul Kilanski age 38, of Algonquin passed away on July 22, 2018. Veteran of U.S. Army Reserves serving as a SGT. serving overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom for 435 days in the 300th Military Police Unit. He also was part of the 822nd Military Police Company and Firefighter/Paramedic for the Algonquin - Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District with 16 years of dedicated service.
John Paul was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 13, 1979 the loving son of Jan and Rose - Marie O. (nee Gabryszewski) Kilanski. In addition to his parents, John Paul is survived by his wife Jennifer M. (nee Krueger) Kilanski; his 3 sons Hunter William Kilanski, Gunnar Jan Kilanski and Cannon Krueger Kilanski; brothers James F. (Jessica) Kilanski and Matthew A. (Mila) Kilanski; nephews James Jr. and Zachary Kilanski and a niece Alexandra Kilanski; John was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents Wanda and Franklin Kilanski and Gretrude and Ted Gabryszewski.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd., (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin/Lake in the Hills. (Fireman’s walk-through that evening at 6:00 PM). Funeral Monday, July 30, prayers will begin at 10:00 AM from the funeral home and proceed to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. 111 South Hubbard St. Algonquin for a 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment Private.
