John Thomas Stowe

Mr. John Thomas Stowe, aged 57 of Cary, IL, passed suddenly on Sunday morning, December 17th, 2017.
 
John was born November 11th, 1960 in Elgin, IL to his late father, Warren Ephraim Stowe and mother, Helen Mae Schwartz Stowe. He is preceded in death by his Sister, Deborah Ann Miller and her husband Bradley Jay Miller. 
 
He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Camille & David Carey of Oakwood Hills, IL; mother, Helen Mae Stowe of Middleport, OH; sisters & brothers-in-law, Kimberly & Jay Jones of Cheshire, OH; Barbara & Bob Barnes of Dallas, GA; Lisa & Marty Rae of Chamblee, GA; brother, James Stowe of Locust Grove, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

John was a lover of sports. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was thrilled to see them win a World Series. He enjoyed sharing his deep love for music with family and friends. His personality was a magnet to others and his heart was always open to old and new friends.

John had recently attended the wedding of his only daughter where he had a reunion with many family members he hadn’t seen for some time. Following the wedding, John embarked on a new adventure. After spending his entire life in McHenry County, Illinois he moved to Georgia where he had just started working for M&M Mars Co. John was happy and amongst family when he passed.
 
A visitation will be held January 2, 2018 at from 5:00-8:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 7:00pm. The service will take place at Willow Funeral Home 1415 West Algonquin Road in Algonquin, IL.
 
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to cover the unexpected funeral and travel costs. Any funds raised above these costs will be donated to the American Heart Association.
