George Yousif Younan

George Yousif Younan age 67, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 10, 2019 in Itasca.

He was born in Kirkuk, Iraq on January 7, 1952 to his loving parents Yousif and Wardiya Younan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Hilda D. (Mukhti) Younan; his loving children, Shanna (Stephen) Mckenney, Sheena (Anthony) Jones and Shane Younan; his cherished grandchildren, Oliver and Nora Mckenney and Calvin Jones; his siblings, Younan (Rita) Younan, Maureen (Bob) Warda and Fiona Illyha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ishak.

A visitation for George will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Tawar Andrious officiating, that morning at Willow Funeral Home 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. (one mile east of Randall Rd.) Algonquin.

Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
